Second Trimester Renaissance cards were recently rewarded to Van Wert Middle School students who reached certain goals for attendance, attitude and academics.   A Renaissance card is recognized by many Van Wert area

businesses by offering discounts to students.  Having a card also allows a student to earn a reward, such as a movie time or bowling time.  Students who earn two out of three cards for the year get a day out of school to go to Cedar Point.  The Van Wert Middle School Renaissance program is supported financially by fifty-one area businesses.  These donations and discounts cover the cost of the rewards which are passed on to students.  For a listing of these businesses, visit the Renaissance link at the Van Wert Middle School webpage found at: vanwertcougars.com.
