Larry E. Francis

Larry E. Francis, 69, of Van Wert, died at 9:58 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born July 31, 1944, in Decatur, Ind., the son of the late Bernard Wayne and Goldie (Baumgartner) Francis.

Survivors include three children, Kathy (Jeff) Stachler, Jason (Jessica) Francis and Bruce Francis, all of Van Wert; a brother, James A. Francis of Van Wert; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Will Haggis officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Vann Wert County, with graveside military honors performed by the combined honors units of American Legion 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, at the funeral home.
