FORT JENNINGS — The Lincolnview Lady Lancers generated enough offense to hold off a determined Fort Jennings team, defeating the Lady Musketeers 46-32 in a non-conference girls’ basketball game played Monday at Fort Jennings.
Hannah McCleery led the Lancers offensively with 12 points, while Ashton Bowersock added 11 counters for Lincolnview.
Cassie Lindeman was the only Fort Jennings player in double figures, with 10 points.
The score was tied at 6-all at the end of the first quarter, as both teams had trouble generating any offense early on in the game. The Lancers outscored Jennings 11-5 in the second quarter to lead by six points, 17-11, at the half.
The Musketeers cut that lead to four points, 27-23, at the three-quarter mark, but Lincolnview went on a 19-9 tear in the final period of play to take home the victory.
Field goal shooting was the key in the game, as the Lancers hit 20 of 50 field goal attempts (40 percent), compared to 13 of 34 for Fort Jennings. The Musketeers did have four three-pointers in the game, while Lincolnview was 0 for 5 from behind the three-point line.
The Lancers made 6 of 10 free throw attempts (60 percent), while Jennings was 4 of 7 (57 percent) from the line.
Lincolnview outrebounded the Musketeers, 23-19, while both teams had 12 turnovers in the game.
