Gary Lynn Haines

Gary Lynn Haines, 69, of Van Wert, died at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born August 11, 1944, in Kenton, the son of the late Leo and Janet (Murphy) Haines.

Survivors include his life partner, Judy Boyd of Van Wert; a son, Jonathan Scott Haines of Hanoverton; two aunts, Jane Murphy an Bea Haines, both of Van Wert; and an uncle, Deo Haines of Van Wert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with graveside military honors performed by combined units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
