Dale E. Perrott

Dale E. Perrott, 73, of Van Wert, died at 6:32 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born July 8, 1940, in Van Wert, the son of the late Forrest D. and Elnora G. (Dunlap) Perrott. He married Patricia “Pat” (Kreischer) Perrott, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three children, Lori (Jesse) Sale of Wapakoneta, and Brenda (Doug) Dye and Brad (Yvonne) Perrott, both of Van Wert; a brother, Jim (Judy) Perrott of Van Wert; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Bobby) Rays, Melissa Burk, Jared (Sarah) Perrott, Courtney Perrott, Kendall Dye, Jarrett Dye, Jordan Perrott and Ryleigh Dye; and one great-grandchild, Mason Rays.

A son, Robert E. Perrott, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Perrott worked as a supervisor of quality assurance at Federal-Mogul Corporation in Van Wert, retiring in 1995. He was a member of First Church of God in Van Wert.

Dale was an avid sports fan, attending all of his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. He also loved photography.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, at First Church of God in Van Wert, with Pastor Jay Watts officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or First Church of God.
