AKRON — Lincolnview cross-country and track standout Bayley Tow was the Division II-III indoor state runner-up in the 1600-meter run at the State Indoor Meet held this past weekend in Akron.
Bayley competed in the Division II-III 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs. In order to compete in the state indoor meet, an athlete has to qualify as one of the top 16 in that event. Tow placed second in the 1600m running a time of 4:27.92, finishing behind Brandon Avers from Division II Otsego.
Tow is the current Lincolnview record-holder for the outdoor 1600-meter run, which he set last spring on his way to qualifying for the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s state track and field meet.  Following his second-place finish in the 1600, Bayley placed 13th in the 3200-meter run.
Tow, a junior, is getting ready to start the outdoor track season.
