Evelyn Louise Price

Evelyn Louise Price, 91, of rural Mendon, died at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born March 17, 1923, in eastern Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Betty Fike. On October 5, 1945, she married John Andrew Price, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2012.

Survivors include a son, John S. Price of Mendon; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Three brothers, Fred, Frank and David; and three sisters, Elsie, Mary Jane and Ruth, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 4, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Philip E. Zielinski officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
