County 4-H program plans open house

The Van Wert County 4-H Program will be hosting an open house for interested families can explore project areas, talk with advisors and pick up important paperwork to join 4-H for the 2011 year! With over 25 clubs and more than 200 projects to choose, from there is something in 4-H for nearly everyone! Let 4-Hers show “What green can do for you!”

Visit the 4-H Open House this Sunday, March 27, from 1-3 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building on the Fairgrounds. For more information, call the Extension Office at  419.238.1214.

Note: Membership to the 4-H club program begins when a child is at least age 8 and enrolled in third grade as of January 1 of the current year. Youths are also encouraged to bring their coloring book page from the 4-H school visits or color a page while at the Open House for a contest! Winners will be chosen at the end of the open house. Membership deadline is Friday, April 1.
