Lancers compete in Wayne Trace meet

HAVILAND — The Lincolnview Lancer varsity track teams competed at the Wayne Trace Invitational last Thursday night.
The Lancers had a great night, including a meet record set by sophomore Hunter Blankemeyer. Blankemyer won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.34 and also tied the school record the week before. He also placed third in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in a very competitive high jump field.
Bayley Tow also had a big day, winning the 1600-meter run in a time of 4:32, placing second in the 3200-meter run in a time of 10:03, and anchoring the Lancers’ winning 4×800-meter relay team. Ben Bilimek placed third in the 800, Logan Jewel placed sixth in the 100-meter dash, Alex Rodriguez was sixth in the 3200-meter run, and Nathan Diller placed sixth in the pole vault.
The boys’ team placed fourth as a team.
On the girls’ side, Hannah McCleery won the high jump, clearing 5 feet event, while Ashton Bowersock had the second fastest time in the 800-meter run and Anna Gorman placed fourth in the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run. Abbie Enyart placed sixth in the 800, while the Lincolnview girls’ 4×800-meter relay team placed third.
