Knight track teams at Minster Memorial

MINSTER – The Crestview boys’ and girls’ track and field teams competed Saturday in the Minster Memorial Invitational with 14 other teams.
The boys’ team finished eighth out of 15 teams, while the Lady Knights were 14th out of 15 teams in the very competitive invitational.

Boys’ team rankings are as follows: 1. Minster 171 points, 2. Sidney Lehman 65 points, 3. St. Henry 63.5 points, 4. New Bremen 59 points, 5. Russia 55 points, 6. St. Marys Memorial 53 points, 7. Spencerville 44 points, 8. Crestview 43 points, 9. Houston 30 points, 10. Versailles 27 points, 11. South Adams (Ind.) 19 points, 12. Fort Loramie 17 points, 13. New Knoxville 14 points, 14. Bradford 2 points, 15. Marion Local .5 point.
Top finishers for the Knights include the following:
Mycah Grandstaff, first place, 3200-meter run (broke school record set by Darrel Clayton in 1990 and nearly broke Minster Memorial meet record); Malcolm Oliver, second place, long jump; 4×100-meter relay team, third place; 4×200-meter relay team, fourth place; Zack Jellison, 200-meter dash, fourth place; 4×800-meter relay team, sixth place; Dylan Grandstaff, 800-meter run, sixth place.
Girls’ team rankings are as follows: 1. Minster 166 points, 2. Marion Local 81.2 points, 3. Russia 80.5 points, 4. Versailles 74.2 points, 5. St. Marys Memorial 46 points, 6. Fort Loramie 39 points, 7. Spencerville 36.5 points, 8. St. Henry 35 points, 9. New Bremen 33.5 points, 10. Bradford 26.4 points, 11. New Knoxville 22 points, 12. South Adams (Ind.) 14.7 points, 13. Sidney Lehman 12 points, 14. Crestview 7 points, 15. Houston 0 points.
Top finishers for the Lady Knights include:
Grace Callow, sixth place in the 100-meter dash and the long jump, and Jamie Moore, sixth in the pole vault.
The Crestview boys’ and girls’ teams will both return to action today for a quad meet at Delphos Jefferson featuring Jefferson, Lincolnview and Fort Jennings.
