PPEC gives to Council on Aging

Ray Etzler (left), representing Paulding-Putnam Electric Cooperative, presents Van Wert County Council on Aging Director Kevin Matthews with a check for $1,500. Through Operation Round Up, Paulding-Putnam customers choose to round up their monthly electric bills. The money raised through the program is then redistributed to local non-profit organizations. The $1,500 will be used to purchase equipment for the Council on Aging chore program. The chore program helps with mowing, yard work and inside/outside light household repairs, and enables seniors to remain living independent and in their own homes. Those interested in chore services should contact the Council on Aging at 419.238.5011. The Van Wert County Council on Aging is partially funded by United Way and The Van Wert County Foundation.
