outfits out of duct tape. Tuesday was supposed to be truck or tractor apparel day, but school was unfortunately cancelled. On Wednesday, the dress-up theme was Carhartt/flannel day. The FFA held a petting zoo in the ag shop for students in the elementary school. A steer, goats, rabbits, chickens, horses, and even a puppy were brought it for the petting zoo. The elementary students said they loved the animals and are excited already for next year’s petting zoo. Ag Olympics took place during lunch throughout the week. This year, the Ag Olympics consisted of Minute-to-Win-It games, from the popular television show.

week, a penny-stall was conducted. This means that each day a class period was assigned as the penny-stall period. Students had the opportunity to bring in their loose change and the teacher had to count all of the change before class could begin. Also taking place the entire week was a canned food drive, in which students and community members brought in canned food items for a local food pantry. The high school’s total was 798 items, with the middle and elementary students bringing many items as well.

The Faculty Breakfast was held March 8, after being rescheduled several times. FFA members prepared breakfast for the teachers. Omelets, as well as coffee and orange juice, were served. 37 Parkway faculty members attended.
