Naomi Genevieve (McCoy) Wheeler

Naomi Genevieve (McCoy) Wheeler, 92, died Friday, June 6, 2014.

She was born October 27, 1921, in Marshall, Illinois, the daughter of the late Rev. James E. and Dorothea B. (Zimmerman) McCoy. On June 1, 1940, she married Charles E. Wheeler, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan C. Lockhart; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Sharon W. Hernandez; one brother, Donald McCoy; two sons-in-law, Joe Hernandez and Jim Lockhart; and two infant grandchildren, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at First Church of God in Van Wert, with Pastor Jay Watts officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Mercer County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
