VW independent/submitted information
Described by many as the top Motown sound tribute in the country for the past 15 years, the Dayton-based Touch will be in concert tonight at 7 in Van Wert’s Fountain Park. This concert is the fifth concert of the Fountain Park Summer Music Series, sponsored by The Van Wert County Foundation, in cooperation with the Van Wert City Parks & Recreation.

Touch has shared center stage with some of the top acts in the industry, including Rick Springfield, Al Green, Mickey Thomas and Starship, The Temptations, Eddie Money, Night Ranger and the legendary Ray Charles. Members of the group have also written music for such artists as The Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson. Most recently, Touch was a top 3 finalist on the popular NBC-TV Show “The Winner Is,” hosted by Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees fame.
Food is available in the park and the public is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy this free concert. The Van Wert Area Community Concert Band will be in concert the following week before the Fountain Park Summer Music Series resumes on July 25 with Scarborough Fair, a tribute to Simon & Garfunkel’s music.
