Entry forms for Fair are available

Entry forms for the 2014 Van Wert County Fair are now available. If you can’t access the Internet either at home or the library, you’ll need to pick up a form at the Fair Board Office between the hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday. If you do have internet access and a printer, follow these steps.

Search Van Wert County Fair. When the site comes up, click on Open Class. Click on Download 2014 Fair Entry Form. It will say, “Fair Entry Form-1.pdf.” Now, here’s where it gets a little tricky. Study the illustration with this article and click on the printer symbol on your screen that matches the one indicated by the large arrow point in the illustration. You should now have your entry form.

Next go back to the Open Class page and click on the blue photography to bring up the information on Department Q, No. 1600. You now the information to fill out your entry form. The Department Number for each of your pictures will be 1600. The Division Number for Seniors is 1601 for Color and 1602 for B/W. For Juniors, the Division Numbers are 1603 for Color and 1604 for B/W.  Each Class Description has a Class Number.  Enter this information in the Number column and Description Space. Once your entry form is completed, it must be turned in at the Fair Board Office by Saturday, Aug. 9 at noon so they can prepare the entry tags for each of your pictures.

The club’s next meeting will be Thursday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center. Meetings are open to anyone who has an interest in photography.
