VWMS v-ball camp

The 2014 Cougar middle school volleyball camp was held this week at the high school gym for three nights. There were 53 girls attending from the Van Wert area. The girls ranged from grades 4-8. The topics for the week were hitting, serving, setting and passing. The girls even had some fun games thrown in to work on team building concepts. The coaches also awarded nightly awards for hustle and attitude. Van Wert volleyball staff and varsity players ran the camp. Just a reminder: any seventh or eighth grader going to try out for the school volleyball must have a physical done before the first day of tryouts, which is Monday, August 4, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (photo submitted)
