For four hours on Saturday, spectators enjoyed 45 Michindoh hooks (see the Michindoh website michindohpullers.org for individual results and a list of winners).

There were also two Convoy classes: nine hooks in the 6,500-pound Open Street Truck Gas resulted in a win by Brad Thomas of Van Wert and, after 11 hooks in the 8,000-pound Open Street Truck Diesel, Nate Anderson of Payne took home the win.

This year, Convoy Community Days will be held over one day, Saturday, September 27; however, the truck pulls were moved this year to accommodate harvest.

Sponsors included CW Farms, Minnich Garage, Doug Poling Excavating, and WSM. For those who missed the smoke and noise coming out of Convoy, Michindoh will be in Bluffton, Indiana, this Saturday, in Mercer County on Sunday night and back at the Van Wert County Fair on Friday, August 29.

Visit the fair office or www.vanwertcountyfair.com for more details of the fair pull.
