VW man pleads to drug trafficking counts

A Van Wert man changed his plea in a light day in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.
Jason Eddins, 37, changed his plea to guilty to one count each of possession of drugs and trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances, both felonies of the fifth degree, and one count of trafficking in drugs in the vicinity of a school, a fourth-degree felony offense.
After his pleas were accepted by Judge Charles D. Steele, Eddins requested, and was granted, treatment in lieu of conviction and his case was stayed pending successful completion of a substance abuse treatment program.
