VW girls 2nd at tennis tourney

The Van Wert girls’ tennis team finished second at the Elida Tennis Invitational held Saturday. Ali Moreland won the singles division, while Katie Trittschuh and Sydney Felger finished in third place at No. 1 doubles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Hannah Stemen and Kali Agler also finished third. On Monday, the Cougar girls fell to Celina 4-1 in Western Buckeye League action. Moreland was the only bright spot for Van Wert, winning 6-3, 6-3 over Celina’s Maddy Cline to go to 10-2 on the season. (photo submitted)
