Cougars win WBL v-ball match over Elida

ELIDA — The Van Wert Cougars were back in action on Thursday night as they traveled to Elida to take on the Bulldogs. The Cougars wanted to pick up another win for their season and did so with a three-game match victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
The Cougars were in control of the entire match, taking the first game by a score of 25-23, the second game 25-20 and the final game 25-20.
Van Wert is now 8-2 on the season and 3-1 in the WBL. The Cougars will be back in action at home Saturday when they take on Wayne Trace and Bryan in a tri-match.
The Van Wert junior varsity team also defeated Elida, in two games, 25-22 and 25-20. The Cougar JVs are now 7-3 overall on the year.
