Bob Evans fundraiser supports NPAC

The Niswonger Performing Arts Center, now in its seventh season, entertains upwards of 35,000 patrons each year from around the region. The mission of the Niswonger is to use its stage to inspire, educate, and entertain residents of and visitors to Van Wert County.

One attribute that has lent to the Niswonger’s success is the ability to keep ticket prices low. This is accomplished through financial support of benefactors, businesses and private donations. Despite this fact, there are many who will not have access to the performing arts due to the cost of tickets. For this reason, the Niswonger is beginning an outreach program entitled “This Seat’s For You”.

Funds will be raised throughout the season to provide financial support to donate event tickets to local agencies working directly with individuals and families who would benefit from a performing arts experience, but are not in a position to purchase a ticket.

The first fundraising endeavor to support this effort will take place at Bob Evans, 761 W. Ervin Road in Van Wert, this coming Monday, September 29, from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Anyone interested in supporting “This Seat’s For You” can simply present a community fundraising flyer for dine-in or carry out and 15 percent of the total check will go towards the Outreach Program. Any purchase for breakfast, lunch or dinner from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. is eligible when the flyer is presented at checkout.

All money raised for “This Seat’s For You” will immediately be put to use in distributing tickets to local agencies that are administering care and shelter for individuals and families in need. The power of a performing arts experience does inspire, educate and entertain. Anyone can join the Niswonger in their effort to ensure that all have access to this gift.
