Ehmer tabs Wilson as campaign manager

Van Wert Republican Mayoral candidate Louis Ehmer has selected Van Wert businessman and former Van Wert City Council member D. Christopher Wilson as chairman of his re-election campaign.

“I am honored that Mayor Ehmer even considered me for this position,” Wilson said. “ I have known Mayor Ehmer since our children were in school together and have nothing but the greatest respect for him.”

“I was fortunate enough to have served for four years on City Council with Louie,” Wilson added. “During his tenure on Council, Louie was constantly reiterating his firm belief in sound fiscal responsibility and contingency planning in local government — sometimes in direct opposition to the administration at the time.  Since becoming mayor, he has continued this crusade having successfully rescued the City’s finances out of a major financial crisis.”

In addition to Wilson, Coral Fetzer has been selected as campaign treasurer. Fetzer is in administration at the Paulding County Soil and Water Conservation District.  Other committee members include Stan Agler, Martha Balyeat, and John Marshall.
