Dorthy Louise Sigler Stahl

Dorthy Louise “Dottie” Sigler Stahl, 87, of Van Wert, died at 7:37 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born November 10, 1927, in Delphos, the daughter of Emerson James and Faith Mabel (Hittle) Sigler, who both preceded her in death. On June 29, 1946, she married Robert Charles Stahl, who died October 12, 2014.

Survivors include a half-brother, Charles W. Rogers of Van Wert.

A brother, John Gilbert Sigler; one half-brother, James L. Rogers; and two sisters, Ellen Marie Edwards and Leota Pearl “Tote” Foreman, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 29, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with the Revs. Josh Tissot and Steven G. Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, December 28, and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Wesley United Methodist Church or the Dottie Stahl Endowment Fund at Van Wert County Hospital.
