Paul E. LaRue

Paul E. LaRue, 86, of McComb, died at 11 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.

He was born May 10, 1928, in Pleasant Township, to Mearl and Ora (Rader) LaRue, who both preceded him in death. On February 3, 1951, he married Joanne (Dunn) LaRue, who survives in McComb.

Other survivors include three daughters, Kay of Delaware (Ohio), Karen of Willard and Paula of Van Wert; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca of Richwood; one granddaughter, Katherene (Rick) LaRue-Martin of Springboro; and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis LaRue of Deshler and Virginia LaRue of California.

A son, Steven; and three brothers, Carl, Dwight and Donald, also preceded him in death.

Mr. LaRue was a 1946 graduate of McComb High School. He was a 1953 graduate of Bowling Green State University and, following graduation, served in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of first lieutenant. Mr. LaRue worked at Cooper Tire & Rubber for 36 years, starting in cost accounting and retiring as price operations manager.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 8, at Hartley-Lehtomaa Funeral Home in McComb. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, at the funeral home.
