‘Scenic Stops’ at Central

A crew from the WBGU PBS television show, “Scenic Stops” recently filmed a segment at the Central Insurance Companies’ Fire Museum. Each week, the program highlights a different “scenic stop” in northwest Ohio. Here, Central President Bill Purmort is interviewed for the segment on the museum, which was started by his father, F.W. Purmort Jr., and houses one of the finest privately owned collections in the U.S. The segment is scheduled to air on Thursday, January 15, at 8 p.m. on WBGU-TV, with re-runs on Saturday, January 17, at 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, January 18, at 2:30 p.m. (photo submitted)
