Forest Dale Roebuck

Forest Dale “Woody” Roebuck, 80, of Rockford, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, with his loving family surrounding him.

He was born April 21, 1934, in Defiance, the son of the Rev. Garrison and Jocie (Archer) Roebuck, who both preceded him in death. On June 5, 1954, he married Marlene (Provci) Roebuck, who survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include a son, Greg (Wendy) Roebuck of Lima; two daughters, Terri (Rex) Piper and Sherri (Bing) Scheidt, both of Rockford; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Lee Roebuck, Lamar Roebuck and Virgil “Pete” Roebuck; two sisters, Lucille Douce and Lois Abrahm; and a stepgrandson, Cody Dick, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 12, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with the Rev. Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Calling hours are from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, January 11, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
