Local OSHP post has new commander

The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol now has a new commander.

Sergeant Timothy P. Grigsby was promoted to the rank of lieutenant on Tuesday by Patrol Superintendent Colonel Paul A. Pride during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy. Lt. Grigsby will transfer from his current assignment at the Lima Post to serve as post commander of the Van Wert Post.
Sgt. Grigsby began his Patrol career in June 2005 as a member of the 145th Academy Class. He earned his commission in January of the following year and was assigned to the Lima Post, where he was selected as Post “Trooper of the Year” in 2009 and 2010. While at the Lima Post, he also earned the Ace Award for excellence in auto larceny enforcement in 2007 and 2009. In 2011, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to the Van Wert Post to serve as an assistant post commander. In 2012, he returned to the Lima Post for his most recent assignment.
