Off Stage announces new play auditions

Off Stage Productions announces open auditions for its upcoming comedy production, Ken Ludwig’s The Fox on the Fairway. Dan Bulau will direct the golf-centered farce.

Open auditions are set for Sunday, February 15, and Tuesday, February 17, at 7 p.m. at the Van Wert Senior Center, 220 Fox Road in Van Wert.

The cast consists of six adults (three men, three women) of various ages. No prior acting experience necessary to audition. Scripts are available for review before auditions at Premier Financial, 211 S. Walnut St. in Van Wert. Call 419.605.6708 for more information.

Performance dates will be April 24-26, May 1-3 and May 8 (two additional performances were added for this show).

Character descriptions are as follows (character ages are approximate):

• Justin — about 25 years old, offbeat, sweet, anxious, a bundle of nerves with unruly hair, Mr. Bigham’s new assistant
• Louise — about 23 years old, a knockout, leggy, good-natured and a little ditsy, a waitress at Quail Valley Country Club
• Henry Bigham — mid 40s, executive director of Quail Valley Country Club
• Dickie Bell — mid 40s, executive director of Crouching Squirrel, unpleasant man full of bonhomie, wears the ugliest sweaters ever made
• Pamela Peabody — 39, beautiful, tanned, very sophisticated, clothes are impeccable, has seen it all, a board member of Quail Valley
• Muriel Bigham — Henry’s wife, a sturdy woman with a pork-pie hat
