The Knights have a busy schedule on their hands as the winter season comes to a close. The Knight Vision had its last show choir competition last weekend. Also the girls’ basketball team got its tournament run underway, and the boys’ team starts its tournament Friday night.
Knight Vision had their last competition of the season at Anderson High School in Anderson, Ind., where they placed eighth out of ten teams. The show choir had a very good season and they are proud of their many accomplishments during this performing season. Senior Taylor Hughes said, “Our last Knight Vision competition was awesome, but also sad. I am very proud of all the underclassmen for how far they’ve came along throughout the performing season. They all have bright futures ahead of them.”
The Lady Knights started their tournament run last weekend at Van Wert High School where they defeated the Delphos Jefferson Wildcats in the Sectional Finals Saturday night with a score of 51-17. The Lady Knights continue down the tournament trail as they travel to Lima Senior High School tonight as they play Ottoville. Senior Kenzie Riggenbach said, “We are very excited as we head into districts to play Ottoville. We played well last Saturday, and are looking to continue our streak and continue down the tournament trail.”
The boys’ basketball team wrapped up their regular season Friday night at Columbus Grove. The Knights played hard but came up short to the Bulldogs. The Knights are now preparing for tournament as the play the winner of Ft. Jennings and Leipsic on Friday night at Van Wert High School with a 6:15 tipoff. Junior Connor Lautzenheiser said, “This season has presented us with a lot of adversity, but it has made us a stronger team. We are excited to start our tournament on Friday night and look to surprise some people and put together a deep tournament run this year.”
With the season coming to a close the Knights are ready to give their best performance in everything they do. They intend to keep the winning tradition at Crestview alive.
