Helena Maxine Schaadt

Helena Maxine Schaadt, 92, of Rockford, died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Laurels of Shane Hill.

She was born in 1923 in Missouri. On November 11, 1971, she married Gerald “Jerry” Schaadt, who survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include a stepson, Michael Schaadt of West Palm Beach, Florida; one stepdaughter, Diane Davrainville of Oregon; two stepgrandchildren; a sister-in-law, Helen Schaadt of Van Wert; two nephews and two nieces; and two great-nieces and a great-nephew.

Two brothers-in-law, Karl Schaadt and Ralph Schaadt; and a sister-in-law, Florine Schaadt, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
