Alice T. Youngpeter
Alice T. Youngpeter, 78, of Delphos, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Lima Memorial Hospital, with her daughter by her side.

She was born August 6, 1936, in Ottoville, the daughter of William and Clara (Merschman) Landwehr, who both preceded her in death. On January 15, 1955, she was united in marriage to James W. Youngpeter, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1998.
Survivors include three children, Karen Sue (Steve) Burwell of Lima, Kenneth W. (Mickey) Youngpeter of Bell, Florida, and Robert J. (Helen) Youngpeter of Delphos; a brother, Norbert Landwehr; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Leona C. Fisher and Helen L. Fleming, also preceded her in death.
Alice was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 3035. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Alice felt completely at home in the assisted living area of Vancrest Health Care Center. She truly enjoyed every aspect of her three years there. Her family will be forever grateful for the staff and residents who made her stay so beautiful.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Harter and Schier Memorial Chapel, with a parish wake at 7:30 and a VFW Auxiliary service at 7 that evening.
