Easter Egg & Bone hunts set for Saturday
VW Parks & Recreation Dept. information
Eggs and bones will both be in Smiley Park for the finding this coming Saturday morning.
The Van Wert Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled its annual Easter Egg Hunt for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Smiley Park ballfields.
Children ages 10 and under will be divided into four age groups. Also, parents should be sure to bring a camera, because the Easter Bunny will be hopping in for a visit with the kids. Come out and enjoy the fun and don’t forget to bring a basket or bag to collect the eggs.

New this year is the Easter Bone Hunt, immediately following the Easter Egg Hunt at approximately 11 a.m. — a hunt for dog treat-filled eggs for area residents and their dogs! Pets must be on a leash.
The first wave will be for dogs weighing 40 pounds and under, while the second wave will be for dogs weighing more than 40 pounds.
Both hunts are free to the public, although donations will be accepted to benefit the Van Wert County Humane Society at the Easter Bone Hunt.
