The Knights have plenty of things in store as April warms up.

The track team finally had their first full team meet April 7 at Lincolnview. The teams competed against Lincolnview, Ottoville, and Paulding. Weather permitting; the track team will be speeding up their season with many more meets to come. Sophomore Katie Hughes said in regards to Tuesday’s meet, “For this being our first meet of the season and for how cold and windy it was, I believe we did really well as a team.” The track team will have their next meet at home Saturday against Lima Central Catholic with an 11 a.m. start.

Friday, April 10 is an exciting day for the Crestview Art Club with the debut of their first ever “Empty Bowl” Fundraiser. All proceeds of the project will go to the United Methodist Church Food Pantry of Convoy. The Art Club has been handcrafting bowls for weeks to raise awareness for local people that are going hungry as well as awareness for Art Education. Sophomore Brooke Ripley said, “It’s a really nice way for the Art Club to branch out into the community and give back to those in need.”

The fundraiser begins at 5 p.m. in the Auditeria.  Adults are asked to donate $20 and students are asked to donate $10. In return, each donor will receive a handcrafted bowl of their choice to fill with soup.  Dessert will also be provided. The fundraiser ends at 7 p.m. Those interested may contact Nicole Kirkpatrick at Crestview High School for additional information.
