Firefighter exam to be conducted in May

Van Wert Civil Service Commission information

The Civil Service Commission of the City of Van Wert will hold a competitive examination at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Vantage Career Center to create an eligibility list for the appointment of a firefighter to the Van Wert Fire Department.

Individuals wanting to take this examination must file an application with the fire department, located in the Van Wert Municipal Building, 515 E. Main St. in Van Wert, on or before 4 p.m. Friday, May 8.

Application blanks will be available on and after Wednesday, April 22, at the Fire Department’s Watch Room (first floor) in the Municipal Building during or after business hours.
