Alfreda E. Wieging

Alfreda E. (Fritz) Wieging, 80, of Delphos, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born October 10, 1934, in Delphos, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Geise) Lindeman, who both preceded her in death. On June 16, 1956, she married William J. “Bill” Wieging, who died April 17, 2009.

Survivors include three sons, Rick (Sue) Wieging of Madison, Indiana, Bob (Lorraine) Wieging of Elida and John (Jill) Wieging of Cincinnati; four daughters, Joan Wieging of Zachary, Louisiana, Terry (Dean) DeMarco of Elyria, Carolyn (Joe Adamo) Wieging and Judy (Randy Hines) Wieging, both of Delphos; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Norbert Lindeman of Delphos; two sisters, Ruth (Joe) Ottenweller of Hoagland, Indiana, and Helen Remlinger of Delphos; and a brother-in-law, Carl Wieging.

A brother-in-law, Bill Remlinger; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Lindeman and Ruth Wrasman, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will begin at 8 that evening.

Preferred memorials: St. John’s Parish Foundation or St. Rita’s Hospice.
