Cooperation, “Bread and Bowl” occupy students
By Nancy Replogle

One of the L.I.F.E. Skills students at St. Mary of the Assumption School
work on is “cooperation.” Cooperation means working together with others for a
common goal. Students from each class were recognized for exemplifying cooperation, and one of our staff members, Dave Holman, was also recognized for his cooperative efforts.
Mission work is stressed at St. Mary’s. The school PTO recently organized
and served a meal to community members at the “Bread and Bowl” which takes place at the First United Methodist Church. Community churches take turns hosting these weekly events. More than 50 meals were prepared and served by 25 students and family members.
