Officers find suspicious items in house

DELPHOS — In recent days, law enforcement officials have been made aware of an alleged “stash house” located at 221 Cherry St. in Delphos, where stolen property was allegedly being hidden.
Agents from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and Delphos Police Department began an investigation into this residence, which culminated Thursday at approximately 10 a.m. when task force members, along with Delphos police officers, served a search warrant at this location.
Found inside the residence were the following items that were seized for evidentiary purposes:
- Suspected drug paraphernalia
- Suspected drug abuse instruments in the form of hypodermic syringes
- Various items of suspected evidentiary value.
- Two cellular phones
One man and one woman were home when the warrant was served. No arrests were made at the scene; however, the case(s) will be forwarded to the Van Wert County Prosecutor’s Office for prosecutors’ review, as is standard procedure.

This task force operates within a multi-county area to combat drugs and major crimes.
