Lancer track teams win tri-meet

CONTINENTAL — The Lincolnview varsity track teams competed in Continental Tuesday night in a tri-meet with Continental and Paulding.

Both the Lancer boys’ and girls’ teams won easily, with the girls scoring 80 points and the boys scoring 70.

Highlight of the night included a new school record set in the pole vault by Brandon Jacomet, who cleared 12 feet, 8 inches before the competition ended due to darkness.

Other event winners for the Lancer boys were Evan Williams (110-meter hurdles), Austin Treesh (long jump), Jack Frank (400-meter dash), Ben Bilemek (1600-meter run), Lucas Myers (800-meter run), and the boys 4×400- and 4×800-meter relays.

Event winners for the girls included Tori Abdul (100-meter dash), Casey Patterson (400-meter dash), Kaylee Thatcher (100- and 300-meter hurdles), Karissa Burns (3200-meter run), Audrey Bowen (shotput), Crystal Protsman (long jump), and the 4×100-, 4×200-, and 4×800-meter relays.

The next meet for the Lancers will be at the Wayne Trace Invitational on Friday night.
