‘Fiesta Friday’ raises $8,500
The United Way “Fiesta Friday” was held this past Friday and a packed house was on hand at Willow Bend Country Club. Premier sponsors for the event were Citizens National Bank, National Door & Trim, Central Insurance Company and First Federal Savings & Loan. The event was a reverse hat raffle with the winner walking away with $1,000 cash. The evening was great fun and United Way raised $8,500 that will go to the 2014 campaign goal. The night was filled with bingo, a Final Five raffle drawing and specialty hat auctions. The final two tickets holders of the night were Lloyd Marvin and Kim Brandt. Brandt was the final winner of the event, winning $1,000 but donating $500 of that back to United Way. (United Way photo)
