Nancy Jill Sheets

Nancy Jill Sheets died at 7:05 p.m. at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born August 17, 1950, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Edwin J. Pierce, who survives in Rockford, and Margaret (Schwartz) Pierce, who preceded her in death. On August 27, 1983, she married Michael Dean Sheets, who also survives.

Other survivors include a sister, Carolyn (Max) Priddy of Van Wert; one brother, David J. (Karen) Pierce of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister and brother-in-law, Sam (Kathy) Hauter of Van Wert; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at First Baptist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
