Butterfly release today at Smiley Park

Master Gardeners of VW County information

The Master Gardeners of Van Wert County invite everyone to the first butterfly release of the season.  The release is scheduled for today at 1 p.m. (weather permitting) in the Butterfly House, located in the Children’s Garden at Smiley Park.

The release of Monarch butterflies has been made possible through a generous donation from John and Marlene Freund to benefit the education of children in the community.

The public is invited to stop by the Butterfly House throughout Peony Festival weekend and the summer months ahead.
