Wren residents asked to clean properties
Wren Homecoming information
WREN — Wren officials are asking village residents to clean up their property in anticipation of Wren Homecoming weekend, August 20-22.
Residents are asked to get rid of excess vehicles on their property and to clean up their yards, mow the grass and to keep yards trimmed up. Vehicles that don’t run or cannot be driven need to be stored inside a building or removed from the village.
For more information, call Mayor Monica Davis at 419.495.2752 or any member of Wren Village Council.
Letters will be mailed out the second week of July to those who fail to keep properties cleaned up. Once letters are mailed, village officials will take necessary action to get properties clean, including calling the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office to deal with junk vehicles.
Letters no longer include a warning; once they are mailed, the village will take action soon afterwards.
“We all want to keep our village looking great,” said Mayor Davis. “This is also a perfect time to thank you for not blowing your mown grass into the street and for not burning trash, as per the EPA.”
