9-1-1 outage reported in Wren-Willshire

Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas Riggenbach notes that Time Warner phone customers in the Willshire and Wren areas are currently experiencing intermittent service outages.

Residents affected by this intermittent outage are not able to call 9-1-1 on a landline for assistance in an emergency when the service is out. Residents can still use a cell phone to call 9-1-1 in an emergency or the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office at 419.238.3866.

Residents who do not have a cell phone should consider going to a neighbor’s home if help is needed during an outage and they need access to a phone to call 9-1-1 or the Sheriff’s Office.

Time Warner is not able to provide a timeframe of when service will be restored.  Updates will be provided to the local media and posted on the Sheriff’s Office website, www.vanwertcountysheriff.com as information becomes available.
