Trucker hurt when semi overturns on 637

GROVER HILL — The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle injury crash that occurred on Ohio 637 north of Grover Hill.
At 2:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, a 2012 Volvo semi-tractor trailer operated by Gregory Burns of Marion was traveling south on Ohio 637 transporting automotive parts when the semi veered off the right side of the roadway, hit a driveway access and overturned.
Burns sustained serious injuries as a result of the traffic crash and was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima for treatment. The crash also resulted in a temporary closure of Ohio 637 and has since been reopened.
Burns was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The Van Wert Post was assisted by Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Grover Hill Fire and EMS, Paulding County Emergency Management Agency and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
