Lloyd L. McMichael

Lloyd L. McMichael, 73, of Van Wert, died at 12:10 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born September 21, 1937, in Van Wert, the son of the late Winfred and Evelyn (Youtzy) McMichael. On July 10, 1969, he married Watraud (Debatin) McMichael, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include five children, Lloyd (Tonda) McMichael, Frank L. (Crystal) McMichael, Sterling McMichael, Robert R. (Dana) Debatin and Sandra B. (Larry) Parker, all of Van Wert; a sister, Alice Thor of Van Wert; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the funeral home.
