United Way gives to Challenged Higher

United Way of VW County information

The United Way of Van Wert County recently awarded $2,400 to the Challenged Higher Drop-In Center, Inc. to help with the purchase of computers for their new computer lab.

The lab will have three workstations with Internet access and printing capabilities and will serve as a computer classroom, resource room and web-conferencing space when needed.

Members will be able to access information for employment, self-education, research and other information and resources.

Challenged Higher is an organized consumer group for past and present adult consumers of mental health services. They provide mental health peer support, education, social recreation, and advocacy.

The mission of the United Way of Van Wert County is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of people and organizations within the county to advance the common good.
