ABM cuts ribbon
Advanced Biological Marketing (ABM) cut the ribbon Monday on Phase 1 of its two-phase facilities project as city and county officials, Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce board members and local economic development officials look on. The first phase, which cost more than $1 million, includes the purchase of several pieces of equipment, including a fermenter unit, while Phase 2 will be the construction of a new $13 million facility in Vision Park. Scott Weber, microbiology manager for ABM, said the completed project would provide increased production capacity for the company until the new facility is completed.
