Elizabeth Hugel

Elizabeth “Betty” Hugel, 83, of Landeck, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

She was born February 25, 1932, in Perrysburg, the daughter of Mark and Dorris (Roach) Clement, who both preceded her in death. Betty was united in marriage to Richard Hugel on October 18, 1952, and he survives in Landeck.

She is also survived by three daughters, Mary (Tim) Dray of Fort Jennings, Carol (Lance) Buettner of Lima and Nancy (Bob) Wiechert of Fort Jennings; a sister, Barb Seffernick of Delphos; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Joseph; one brother, Jim Clement; and a grandson, Alexander Dray, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hugel was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia (CLC), the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, gardening, gambling trips and spending time with her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, with burial in the church cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, August 7, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with a CLC service at 3 p.m. and a parish wake at 7 that evening.
