VWHS golfers compete in G’ville tourney

GREENVILLE — The Van Wert Cougar golf team was in Greenville to compete in a 14-team invitational.

The Cougars shot 421, with Jared Hernandez being low man for the team with an 82.

Jacob Covey shot a 108, followed by Carter Eikenbary with a 113, while Colton Deschner completed the scoring with a109.

The Cougars start their Western Buckeye League competition on Monday, August 17, at home against Wapakoneta at 4:30 p.m.
