Lichtensteiger to throw out first Wiffleball

WREN — The Wren Wiffleball Committee has announced that Van Wert County Commissioner Thad Lichtensteiger will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the 24th annual Wiffleball Tournament this Friday, August 21.

Lichtensteiger is a 1979 graduate of Crestview High School and a 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University. He is married to Deb and they have four children: Kirk, Kory, Luke and Carly, and eight grandchildren.

Lichtensteiger farms with his father, Dean, and son Luke, and is a 15-year member of the Crestview Local Board of Education. He is serving his second term as Van Wert County commissioner, is a trustee of the Van Wert County Foundation, a trustee of the Van Wert County Farm Bureau, is chairman of the Van Wert County Republican Central Committee, a member of the Van Wert Rib Fest Committee, vice president of Northwest Ohio Commissioners and Engineers Association, president of the MPRMA five-county insurance liability group and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy.

In his spare time, Lichtensteiger is a great supporter of Wren and all of its activities.
